    Molly

Some of you already know this because you are on my e-mail distribution list. However, yesterday, September 18, 2007 we had to pur our cat, Molly, to sleep.

It was rather sudden. She got sick about four days ago and just deteriorated rapidly over the course of three days.

However, as a good friend told me last night, life is cyclical and if we loved her, we might be reunited with her later on. I've been thinking about a pet's afterlife and wondering what precisely happens.

Jackie (for those of you who don't know, Jackie is my wife) had Molly for about ten years. We were with Molly when she passed beyond the veil of this corporeal world.

Jackie had asked if her soul moved on. I didn't see any movement when I was in the examining room (after the medication had done its job), but Jackie said she could've sworn she saw Molly's head pop up. However, when Jackie looked back at her, she was completely still.

Is it possible the cat's soul moved on? Comment if you wish.

I believe that her sould could have moved on. I know that when we put my dog Angel to sleep a few weeks ago I meditated and worried and I honestly beleive they move on just as we do. I dont know if this comment helps, but my heart breaks for you. I know how it feels to lose one of our kids.

I'm so sorry. I know what it is like to lose a dear companion.

I do believe that some stay and some go. I am certain that at least two of my ferrets, a few cats and my dog, Kree are still here.

When Kree was a puppy, he'd sleep in my lavender bed in the backyard so he always smelled of lavander. Sometimes I smell it at odd moments, and I know it's Kree telling me he's still with me.

    Blessed be and be safe
